What are the benefits of yoga and which is best for me?

I know there are different types of yoga. It is for someone who has a construction of 5'5 "and 110 pounds (not weight loss, heavy sweating or yoga-type)? I just want to maintain flexibility and give me more energy without the coffee.

Is Yoga a good exercise to lose weight or is it mostly to tone up and reenergizing your body and mind?
